Rules

All times UTC · v0.1

01Time

  • The platform runs on UTC. Midnight always means 00:00:00 UTC.
  • Day D's item goes live at 00:00 on D. Bids close and reveal at 00:00 on D+1.
  • Two things happen at every midnight: today's item clears and tomorrow's is unveiled.

02Buyer bidding

  • Buyer bids are sealed. Nobody sees any amount before the deadline, the operator included.
  • One valid bid per person per item. You may revise it; the last bid before the deadline counts.
  • Minimum bid $1. No buy-it-now.
  • A seller may set a reserve. If the top bid falls short the item does not sell: nobody is charged and nothing ships. The listing says a reserve exists but never the figure.
  • A bid authorises your card for 7 days. Only the winner is charged; every other authorisation is released.
  • If the winner's capture fails the item passes to the second-highest bidder at their own bid. A failed capture is one strike; two strikes ban the account.
  • After reveal we publish the clearing price, bidder count, gap to second and the distribution. Bidder identities are never published.

03Seller slot auction

  • One open auction per day, with a single lot: tomorrow's slot. Amounts, standings and brands are all public in real time.
  • The card is charged when the bid is placed, not at midnight. Being outbid does not return it: the money buys the brand a place on tomorrow’s public board, which is delivered the moment the bid lands and is kept.
  • Raising charges only the difference, and the board shows the running total paid. A bid cannot be lowered.
  • The highest bidder also takes the whole front page for the day, and receives the market report after the reveal.
  • Minimum slot fee $1. Ties go to the earlier bid.
  • A slot bid must attach an approved listing. Listings submitted the same day must be in by 18:00 UTC.
  • At most one slot per seller per 7 days. A won slot cannot be cancelled.

04Verifiable reveal

  • On submission the server immediately publishes sha256("amount|bidderId|salt").
  • At reveal all salts and amounts are published so anyone can recompute the hashes.
  • Platform accounts and the operator may not bid.
  • This covers buyer bids on the item: authorised, and released if they do not win. The seller side is an open auction charged on the bid — see 03.
  • Every reveal writes an immutable audit record.

05Banned categories

adult · gambling · crypto · prescription drugs · weapons · counterfeits · live animals

Items must be new or clearly marked as used. Sellers refund if the item does not match the listing.

Listings go live immediately, without prior review. The seller confirms at publish that the item is not in a banned category; a listing that breaks this is pulled and the seller banned.

06Anti-abuse

  • One account per person. Magic-link login. Stripe card fingerprints deduplicated.
  • New accounts are capped at $500 per bid for their first 7 days.
  • Sellers may not bid on their own item. Five or more accounts from one IP on one item are all flagged for review.

07Delivery and the platform’s remit

The platform delivers a redemption credential, not the item. The winner unlocks it at reveal; redemption, shipping and after-sales then happen on the seller’s own site. The platform’s responsibility ends at unlock.

  • Credential validity is declared by the seller, minimum 30 days.
  • If the credential is invalid, already used or the link fails at unlock, the buyer must report within 48 hours and the seller has 24 hours to reissue. Otherwise the platform refunds in full and bans the seller. This is the only refund case.
  • For anything after redemption the platform mediates but does not rule on refunds. A seller who does not respond within 7 days faces a ban. Two unresolved appeals trigger an automatic ban.
  • Winning bids are binding. Buyers who win a chargeback are permanently banned.
